Activity 2 - Altering Perceptions Part 2

Introduction -

With every week it seems that Think Lab activities keep getting more and more exciting. This

week, the main activity was more challenging in terms of visualisation, where we were

supposed to illustrate and attribute uses of a common object in our respective groups.

Main Activity -

The main activity was to come up with recreations of the object. The recreations

were supposed to be scaled-up versions of the original object, where the proportions were to be enlarged but maintained in the same order.

Our group chose laptop, and came up with a few extraordinary ideas such as a karaoke floor,

locker, house roof, lamp post, table, tent, and a safety bench.

Learning -

I learnt that visualising and managing time simultaneously is the most crucial factor. We had

spent a lot of time thinking so there was less time to draw our ideas.

Group Work -

The group worked together and we contributed to each other’s ideas. The overall

communication was excellent, although we could have been better in illustrations.
