“We may have a perfectly adequate way of doing something, but that does not mean there cannot be a better way. So we set out to find an alternative way. This is the basis of any improvement that is not fault correction or problem solving.”
― Edward De Bono, Six Thinking Hats
"Six Thinking Hats" is a way of investigating an issue from a variety of perspectives, but in a clear, conflict-free way. It can be used by individuals or groups to move outside habitual ways of thinking, try out different approaches, and then think constructively about how to move forward.
Warm - up Activity -
We as a group were assigned a colour of hat and were asked to research upon it. My team got the Green Thinking Hat.
I learnt that the green hat represents creative thinking. When you're "wearing" this hat, you explore a range of ideas and possible ways forward. The Green Hat focuses on creativity; the possibilities, alternatives, and new ideas. It’s an opportunity to express new concepts and new perceptions. The green hat is used to encourage new and innovative ideas. Thinking outside the box where anything should be considered. No negative thinking or comment is allowed at this stage in the process.
Main Activity -
Each group was assigned a brand and working collectively as a group we had to apply all the 6 thinking hats to look at the brand. We assigned one colour to each member of the group.
We got the company paytm, after using the 6 thinking hats this is what we understood about it.

Group Activity -
Our team worked well together to discuss the company from all the six perspectives.
Reflections -
While solving problems or finding solutions to a situation we might forget to think form a certain aspect, the 6 thinking hats help us in thinking from all the perspectives.
All the hats are interconnected, even though they are worn separately.
